Like a termite bond, the Trico Exteriors Roof Bond Program is designed to provide a year-to-year inspection and maintenance service to homeowners who have chosen to have a new roof system installed by Trico Exteriors. Our bond program is a guarantee to the homeowner that Trico Exteriors will make every effort to promote a long-lasting roof system by providing yearly service, thorough inspection of roof components, routine maintenance, and discovery of damage or manufacturer defects that may require repair or replacement of all or part of the roof system.
Trico Exteriors’ bond program helps identify and handle routine maintenance issues that can lead to problems not covered by a typical roof warranty. It also aids in finding damage to your roof that may have originated from things such as a nearby tree contacting the roof or wind damage from a storm that may have went undiscovered for months or even years – again potentially leading to issues that would not be covered under a warranty.
In addition to cleaning out your gutters and roof valleys, routine maintenance includes repair of minor maintenance issues such as touching up caulk around pipe boots or chimney flashing, sealing exposed nail heads, or replacement of a missing or damaged shingle. These are the types of items that are easily missed by homeowners until they cause larger problems such as interior water stains or rotted plywood.
Larger needs such as multi-shingle repair or replacement, pipe boot or chimney cap replacements, and adding or replacing roof ventilation are not considered routine maintenance but are charged at a discounted rate for members of the bond program. Also, if the problem is a manufacturer defect, we will work with the manufacturer to have the damage corrected. For those larger, unexpected issues, we also have excellent financing options available.
